Aaliyah Dana Haughton and Aarti Mann

Aaliyah's debut album Age Ain't Nothin' but a Number came out in 1994. The album came out as Gold at the age of fifteen years old. R. Kelly was a significant influence in this project that put her in the limelight. In 1996 she worked together with Jermaine Dupri and Timbaland for her second album One In A Million which contained the number-one hit single If You Only Knew. Aaliyah achieved international recognition for her R&B singing through this album. She was a part of the legendary martial artist Jet Li in the 2000 romance-action film Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver, film producer and director of the film Romeo Must Die caught her at an award ceremony. In 2002 she got to be part of the vampire flick Queen of the Damned which was based on Anne Rice's Anne Rice novel. The Matrix Sequels followed, featuring Zee playing her role. The actress is the very first generation of Indian-American from Connecticut. Mann is a contraction of her married last name Mankad. She employs Aarti Man as well as Aarti Mahumdar as her professional name. She started her acting career in minor film and TV roles, but her popularity grew during the middle 2000s. Other than The Big Bang Theory her most notable work includes Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) and Grey's Anatomy (2017). In addition, she has appeared in commercials for big brands such as international automobile manufacturer Volvo. Her acting career continues at Los Angeles, where she lives with her husband and daughter.
