Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer who is known for his unique mixture of soul gospel, R&B and R&B. The singer's career has taken her across Broadway to European festivals and clubs up to at the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine is Denise White. Even though she lives in Atlanta now, Sunshine is from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she started out as a musician by playing and singing at the local church. In Atlanta she was a student at Spellman College where her musical education began in Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was called Stalk You which was a house 12-inch released exclusively in Japan It has since been remixed by many producers and remains an essential part in her live show. She has also contributed her singing for The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005, Tyler Perry hired her as the principal keyboardist on the stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her vocals and her music, invited Sunshine to sing in the Dreamgirls show during Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was noticed by the nation during four performances per day at 2008's Democratic National Convention. Sunshine then went on to be invited to sing for President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
